Within the area of the Forest District Bytnica predominate coniferous forest sites with superiority of pine.
Main forest communities existing within the area of the Forest District Bytnica:
- pine forests
- acidophilous oakforests(Calamagrostio arundinaceae-Quercetum petraeae, so called „acidophilous beech and oakforest") – mainly created by English oaks
- mixed coniferous forests
- oak – hornbeam forests
- beech forests
- alder swamp forests (alders)
- oak forests
- riparian forests
