Within the area of the Forest District Bytnica predominate coniferous forest sites with superiority of pine.

Main forest communities existing within the area of the Forest District  Bytnica:

  • pine forests
  • acidophilous oakforests(Calamagrostio arundinaceae-Quercetum petraeae, so called „acidophilous beech and oakforest") – mainly created by English oaks
  • mixed coniferous forests
  • oak – hornbeam forests
  • beech forests
  • alder swamp forests (alders)
  • oak forests
  • riparian forests
